Fall out of your boat (some more) Sunday

Forgive me, for I have now entered full "messing around with boats," phase.

See below.

This morning we paddled about a mile down river from our launch. The shore line here is gravel and descends very steeply down. We call this little spit of gravel "Fall out of you boat beach," because this is where we come to, you know, fall out of our boats.

But in getting in and out of my boat today I reached another level of trust. First I started laying on the back deck with my butt still in the seat. Very quickly this was not edgy enough so I sat on the back deck, then I sat "side saddle" with my legs dangling off. And finally, over come by a fit of exhaustion (probably fake) I ended up reclining. Yeah the water is very calm here. The power boats are kept small by a 10 HP rule, and the snappers do not grow larger than, say, a small man hole cover.

It is a very benign environment. But still there is comical effect.

Here I am still a tad on the cockpit coaming

But here I am no where near it. I am way...back on the back deck. The Lorax particularly loved how far my bow is out of water.

the Google made us this silly video of our play date

and another silly video of me *not* falling out of my boat

OMG, I am so beat up today. I have bruises on my bruises!
