Some Birds in the Keys

Birds are everywhere, kind of every-day beings. It's easy to forget how many little birds there are. That is, until one sits down at an open air restaurant in a warm place like the Florida Keys. There, the birds are all "in your face," an example:

In "normal life" I can not get a good close up of a red-winged black bird to save my life. Especially, when paddling along fields of wild rice, the little suckers are darting everywhere. But now I know, thrown down some french fries and they are all mine.

Or, perhaps we go down to the pool for a swim and we find ourselves sharing with these unsavory characters:

Not to mention the pelicans:

Pelicans are so ubiquitous that I do not even turn to take their pictures any more. I have become "over-saturated" in birds.

Just a few photos while I work on a more massive collection. So, stay tuned, more to come!
