Rainy Thursday, many projects half-done..

..and yet, here I sit, writing bad poetry and nursing a rainy day mood.

Pressed against the glass box
the forest rains down
beating a rhythm on the roof

As I look out, warm
safe and dry, I wonder why
my heart is so heavy

The dogs take me out
leading me into the rain
Who is on the leash?

Flowers from the warm season

You might not know this about me, but I love flowers. Because I changed phones recently I had the occasion to look back at all the photos I had shot with the old phone. I am like a "birder," only of flowers. Here's some I have shot over the last few months, from now back towards spring:
