My Nikon Coolpix AW100 is mostly toast. It kept fogging up inside. No longer water tight, it will be relegated to hikes, camping, and trips into DC as soon as I can figure out a replacement. Due to the fogging, many of my photos will appear slightly out of focus. The fogging can only be so cropped out.
My First World Problem: I have more than a 1000 photos to edit. Egads! Oh, the horror! Forced to spend hours in front of my pc looking at water, when I would rather be playing on the water. Whatever.
First thought from the trip: I need to move somewhere warmer. I slept great and my shoulders barely hurt the whole time I was down there.
Second thought: I really like my Sirocco, it's a good boat. Brian is going to punch a hole in it though, if I keep extolling its virtues.
Third...aw, screw it! Here's some pictures instead:
Apparently I was channeling Steve Irwin- harasser of wild life-- while down there. Seen here, a Portuguese Man O'War! CRIKEY!!! I can think of few things that excite me like a beautiful but quite toxic colony of microbes.
As I am editing photos I came to realize that Brian has become my favorite human photo subject. I'm sure somewhere there is a paddler who is even more amazing in their boat but in my limited experience Brian is the sh*t. Plus, he reminds me somewhat of a British explorer with the hat and chops.
So, I'm just warning you, there'll be a *whole lotta Brian* in the next few days. Get used to it. He is so photogenic, I can't imagine a better subject available to me.
Thanks for giving me your time Brian. I am most appreciative.
Wait, one cotton picking second.... I thought I was your favourite human photographic subject!
ReplyDeleteSorry, replaced. You'll have to work hard to regain your coveted spot as "Number 1 human photo subject!"
